IndiGo, India’s leading airline, has announced the launch of direct flights from Pune to Bangkok and Thiruvananthapuram. The Pune-Bangkok route will be the first direct international service from Pune, starting on November 22, 2024. These new flights aim to provide a seamless travel experience, making them an excellent choice for families planning holidays during the festive season or winter break.
IndiGo will also be the only airline offering direct flights between Pune and Thiruvananthapuram, with operations commencing on October 27, 2024. Additionally, IndiGo has recently enhanced connectivity on key domestic routes from Pune, including Pune–Bhopal, Pune–Chennai, Pune–Ahmedabad, Pune–Indore, and Pune–Raipur, further strengthening the city’s role as a significant travel hub.

After Thai Airways, its subsidiary Thai Smile apart from major Indian carriers such as IndiGo, SpiceJet and Go First have launched bilateral flights between both nations. Direct connections under the air bubble agreement are between Thai capital Bangkok & Phuket, and key metro cities in India – Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bengaluru.
